I need to generate reports for last one week or one month with the preconfigured template( for memory , cpu etc) . I am not able to find any option while generating the reports. Where can i set that From & To Dates while generating a report for a particular predefined template or custom template. Can any body share with me or tell me where i can set or edit the template so that i can generate report for a particular template for a week or month.

running ESXi 5.5.0 1331820, encountered an issue: in vSphere none of the virtual machines have working consoles (just unresponsive black screen, launching it in a separate window produces a static black window) and statistics in 'Resource Allocation' are greyed out and blank.
The virtual machines themselves are working and have no apparent issues. They and ESXi are accessible via network. The host is ssh-able and responds to shell commands.
Tried restarting management agents with '/etc/init.d/hostd restart', '/etc/init.d/vpxa restart' and 'services.sh restart' to no avail, the latter produced the following output:

I am setting up NSX 6.2 in a small configuration. I have a management cluster with the NSX Manager and NSX Controllers. I also have a compute cluster with some hosts for testing with VXLAN. I did a basic configuration with 2 virtual wire networks using static IPv4 addresses and things worked OK. Now I have been asked to use DHCP, which now requires an Edge Services Gateway. I was wondering where to place the Distributed Logical Router and Edge Services Gateway. Should I put the DLR and ESG in the management cluster or in the compute cluster?

In the Object view we are currently using Flex formatters to display the size of an object in bytes, date properties, and some things. This capability is currently deprecated. Should the formatting of values for the Object tab be done in the Java layer or will there be a equivalent functionality to Flex formatters/item renderers available on the HTML client?

I have found ansible library in VIO Management server @ /var/lib/vio/ansible
It seems this can be only used to configure not to deploy Open stack components.
I am using VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6.0 on ESXi 6.0
time after time i have restarted services of wmvare vsphere and logs showing that all services are running.
After some priod on vsphere client appearing alarm with this information
VMware Syslog Service - reached warning- available storage for logs /storage/logs reached warning threshold 30%

Looks like there is a bug in VMware ESXi.

-only way to fix the slow upload issue is to modify the registry key TcpAckFrequency on the PC

After we provision a new VM from vRO (by getting the workflow to request a vRA blueprint), it does not show up directly in the vRA management model (SQL database), in entitySet VirtualMachines. This makes it difficult for us to allocate some IP addresses to this VM in the next step, because we cannot relate the IP's to a vCAC VM.
We are also thinking of having a 'parent' object (in the VirtualMachines entity maybe?). This would be like having a Multi-Machine deployment, which automatically get a parent object. Could we create this parent object programmatically ourselves maybe?
Any suggestions much appreciated.

The question is:
is there any way to export a VM (not running) from the workstation to an ESXi 5 server when the PC an the ESXI server are on different networks and there is no way to conenct the PC to the ESXI server ?

If I am trying to develop a WFStub, say for Machine Provisioned, is there a way to run the workflow against an existing vRA provisioned system in order to pull the properties for development?
I'm going insane having to request a new VM just to test the workflow. That and running the running the "Assign a state change workflow to a blueprint and its virtual machines" seems to have clobbered over the previous WFStub. How do you tack on an additional work flow?

Hi All,
should VMware UEM Service (c:\program files\Immidio\Flex Profiles\FlexService.exe) be running in client during normal operation?
In my vdi environment (client win7/64) horizon 6, uem 9 and appvolumes 2.9 uem service is up and running only if i install or reinstall package and do not reboot client.
If i try to start service manually i got a 1503 timeout error.
I can't see logs anywhere.
Does anybody had this issue?

I'm testing blast extreme. I'm quite impressed by the performance and bandwidth usage. What I noted is that all the BE traffic is going through the connection servers. With PCoIP the Horizon Client was connecting directly to the agent in the VM, I wonder if the connections server could become a bottleneck in such configuration and if there is a way of forcing BE traffic to connect directly to the agent.

The vRealize Business for Cloud 7.0.1 appliance has issues with special characters in the root password. I'm not sure exactly which characters it doesn't like but removing them altogether resolved a Username\Password Incorrect error at the VAMI (5480) interface. This also resulted in being unable to even establish an SSH connection with the appliance.

I'm not all that familiar with Oracle databases. My DBA team is currently planning on configuring data guard for our 11g environment. Currently it is a single VM using VMDKs stored on iSCSI LUNs. I didn't set up the VM so I don't know why it is the way it is.
My Googling has not been productive, so does anyone have/know of any get instructions for 1. how you would normally set up an 11g VM and 2. how do you configure your VMware environment to support data guard.

We are running vcentre v6 and everytime we power on a VM we get the message
'VMware Remote MKS has stopped working' and the console stops working
We then have to log out and log back to get the console to work
