Fix my HP Pavilion g6's HP Truevision HD Webcam in Workstation 10

I am using a Windows 8.1 guest to evaluate Windows 8.1 before I upgrade the g6 running Windows 8 to Windows 8.1.

The Pavilion g6 was bought inside the UK at a shop called Currys. and they do not sell any currys .

Anyway, the webcam does not work in Windows 8's (host) camera app:

  However, VMWare still shows it.... Wait, where did it go? It was there a second ago!:

OK then, I swear it was showing a minute ago, and the Message Log has proof:

CyberLink YouCam isn't starting, and the webcam is not in Device Manager:

And it has definitley not fallen off my laptop:

Or at least externally, anyway. Picture above is taken from my other webcam, a Bush one. Named by Windows a USB UVC VGA. Old it is. Bad too. Last PC I used it on comes from 2004, and it does not boot unless I use safe mode.

Any ideas?
