Hello VMware Experts,

This is certainly not my are of expertise as I work most of the time on the networking area but anyway here is my issue and I hope some of you can help me with this.

So I bought a PC from Ebay with the expectation that I could set it as a ESXi server (Here is the link :http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gateway-Intel-i5-3330-3GHz-8GB-1TB-Windows-8-Desktop-PC-DX4870-UB318-/321165075173?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item4ac6ee22e5

)

So I downloaded ESXi 5.1 and started to installed

First surprise I got (It did not recognize my network card, So I went to amazon and bought an Intel PCI Express network card to make this happen)

After 2 weeks I received it today.

I finally set the PCI netcard into the mother-board and started the installation.

Everything seems to be perfect, what a great moment I was having till I completed the installation.. I smile and then saw the message Installation succeed , remove the CD from the CD-Room and restart the server.

Awesooome right!!! But then the problem appeared.

After the unit came back from the restart process it did not recognize any boot image installed on the hard-drive (Hard-drive already set from BIOS as a boot option)

An error message just like :

does not recognize boot media

I tried re installing, overwriting with no success. (Same behavior)

I know this is a really straight-forward process but what could be happening here,

Any ideas?

Regards,
